The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced two gear upgrade currencies, Valorstones and Harbinger Crests. They can be exchanged at the NPCs who upgrade items, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to the highest level for a particular slot once. Upgrades to that slot are then less expensive afterward. Additionally the pity system that was introduced with The War Within lowers extreme upgrade luck variance.
Upgrades
In gaming upgrades are the replacements of components that improve performance or provide new functionality. They can be bought or earned in many ways, such as in-game events as well as from cash shop items.
Upgrades are only available to specific items. In contrast to enchantments that can be applied to any item they can only be applied to the item they are connected to. A weapon that is already equipped can't be upgraded. However, certain items can be upgraded several times, providing a much more benefit to the owner of the item.
The mechanic of upgrades is relatively new. It was introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system lets players add additional enhancements to equipment to boost its power, ranging from a simple boost in strength to significant damage and defense boosts. The upgrades are split into tracks, and each track has an upper limit on the amount of upgrades that can be completed. These limits are intended to prevent players from scavenging low-keystone dungeons and upgrading their equipment all the way up.
Weapons, armor and consumables are all upgradeable. Most gear can be upgraded when it is dropped, though some items (such as Ornn's gear, or the baby Dracolich pet) can't be upgraded. Gear can be upgraded by purchasing an upgrade recipe from a vendor and then combining it with the item that is in the appropriate upgrade slot. The icon of the item or searching for it in the shop will show how many upgrades this piece of gear is equipped with.
item upgrade has two major disadvantages. The second is that it can be difficult to identify which items are upgradeable, since the upgrade vendors don't always display all of them. In addition, the upgrade textures are displayed above the model of the item which could obscure enchantment glints and other details.
The other drawback is that upgrades are costly. Each step up a gear's upgrade level is a specific number of Valorstones or crests, depending on the slot of the item and item level. Weapons typically require more crests and Valorstones to upgrade than bracers or gloves for instance. There are, however, some cash shop items that can reduce the cost of upgrading.
Recycle
In the wake of a growing awareness of how single-use items and wasteful habits contribute to environmental degradation many people are changing their shopping habits. Many are opting for high-end items that will last longer or using their old gadgets as a substitute. Others are prioritizing recycled items and looking for the most recycled content in their purchases. This will hopefully reduce the amount of resources needed to extract and produce new materials, as well as create a more sustainable world.
Recycling is an integral element of this process and it has become easier for consumers to locate. Many products, like furniture and paper, contain recycled material. They're made of reused or discarded material, and it's easy to buy recycled products online or in stores. In addition to preserving the environment and reducing waste, these products are usually more affordable than their counterparts.
When an item is leveled it will be rewarded with additional bonuses in addition to its higher stat. These bonuses are determined by its tier, and can vary between one type of bonus to the next. The higher the tier, the greater bonuses you'll receive.
More companies are taking on making products that are more sustainable as the global economy shifts away from resource extraction and towards reusing and recyclating. Many are focused on recycling materials and offering incentives to customers who recycle their products. As the demand for sustainable products grows, we will likely see more recycled products in shops and on the shelves.
Rerolls
Rerolling is an essential tool in Genshin Impact, or any other gacha game. Rerolling lets players try again with an item or character they wish to play or want to play, whether because it's attractive or they think it would be a good fit for their team.
Rerolls allow players to refresh items available for the current wave in exchange for a tiny quantity of materials. The costs of these weapons rise when the number of rerolls in a row, but some items may not be available at all (for instance, a melee weapon will not be available for players who can only use ranged weapons).
As an item increases in stats, it enters the Staple Pool where it gains additional bonuses. These bonuses are based on type of item that it is. For instance an upgrade that increases a weapon's main stat can also boost its secondary stat. If the item is rerolled the additional stats will change.
When a player has the endurance to roll a reroll they can click an icon with arrows that are circling to swap their item for another. The new item will come with the same level, but with an additional set of bonuses, based on whether the original item was a sword, gun, watch or book.
Rerolling an item doesn't alter its current levels of bonus, but players may be required to meet the minimum stat requirements for its special ability. This can make it difficult to find an item of high-level that offers the amount of bonus they want but it also allows them to try for another option in the future without spending more resources.
Upgrading an item won't just increase the value of its bonuses, but it will also give the item a tier boost and, consequently, it's guaranteed to get a specific amount of bonus stats if upgraded in the future. This is the main reason why it's crucial to upgrade gear as far as possible, because once you reach the point where any further upgrades won't make any significant difference, it's not worth it.

Sets
A set is a collection of items connected by a property. They are often used in mathematics and can be represented as . Sets possess many properties such as the associative and commutative properties. These properties help us to understand how sets work and have practical applications.
In the game, items can be upgraded in sets to unlock additional bonuses. For instance an armor set pieces can give an extra boost in the armor's defense while a weapon may provide an extra damage base. These additional stats are applied following the base stats of the item, and prior to the percentages and flats. These additional stats can be an excellent way to increase value.
When an item is upgraded, it will replace the previous base stat with the new one. For example the weapon that had 20 base damage would now have 40 base damage. The previous base armor and upgrade requirements will remain. This is an excellent way to acquire an item of the highest quality at a low cost.
Upgrades of unique items are extremely profitable, especially when they come with an interesting mod. For example, a rare belt with +5 IAS could have a massive impact on the strength of a building, especially early hell. It's a great way to boost the value of a piece by adding a perfect or high roll.
Item Upgraders operate differently for set, unique and rare items. After the item reaches level 10, it will typically be upgraded to its base type. A unique upgrade of an armor item with max defense will result in a similar base type for an elite armor item. It is not a 100% guarantee, and in some cases an upgrade may not change the type of item.
It is recommended that players prioritize upgrading their BiS (Best in Slot) items first, then non-BiS items. This will provide the player with a solid base to build on when they are leveling up. They can then focus on advancing tiers and gaining additional stats.
